and the verdict is in from the eye doctor (what are they called again? optometrists or something like that?)
I have a astigmatism and a prescription now. nothing too bad. ended up buying a black frame for the glasses, nothing too powerful for the prescription (I think). the doctor said more moderate, but who knows.
so next week, at age 36, I get to start wearing glasses for the first time. I was asked about contacts....screw that. I can't open my eyes underwater, no way I'm putting something on my eye balls!
transition lenses and a coating to help deal with the glare from cars (and such). oh this should be fun.
all in all, about $260 from my health savings account (that had $500 put into the account by my employer, not bad for being part-time). I bought a lens cleaning package for about $8 as well....protect my investment!
got home, ate, slept for about 4 or 5 hours (having worked overnight)....and now I think I'll be up for quite a while! oh the joys!
