so Thursday at 4 PM my weekend starts again, and I'm trying to get the people I play Heroclix with to come out again either Friday or Saturday for another round of playing. biggest problem....people seem not interested if there is no prize for them.
except for one person, he just started playing Heroclix and is learning. he also does some custom clix that will make people drool....I have to get a picture of the Black Knight custom clix. the Black Knight from the Monty Python movie. hopefully at least he can make it out. I usually trade with him, slanted towards his favor. in part, I remember what its like to play as a newbie. and I want to help him build up his collection. also, he's willing to play for the sake of playing. plus I supply him with clix that would gather dust to use for his customs. now if I can get the idea of building a 3-D map for us to use one time....that would be cool!
gotta job search again as well. the store I work at is getting on another "cut hours" kick. as I call it...the Republican Idea. more business with less work hours. in a nutshell....provide customer service but cut back the hours people work. while also doing more business. not sure how it will work out. plus having worked for, oh, coming up on 7 years straight with no vacation or anything, starting to burn out. it come and goes. and is getting annoying.
also have to check through my health care stuff. one of the nice perks of the company I work for is access to health insurance despite being part-time. and it looks like the plans are changing where I can get the services that fit my needs for less money than what I pay now. if I'm reading things right...instead of paying $18 a week I can get a health care plan that fits my needs for $8 a week. no complaints from me!
2 weeks until the elections are over. thankfully. I've had a few polls come by asking who I'm voting for. and my response is "I'm voting for the candidate that best represents my interests." when asked what those interests were, I simply smiled. wonder why they only come by once. and what do I tell people who ask....don't vote party lines. vote for the person you feel will best represent what is best for you. ignore skin color and party affiliations. unfortunately, people in the US seem to not get over this.
that's about all...and I have to research alternators. after 10 years, I think the alternator in my car is starting to go. I don't get much of the electrical issues. but I am getting the noise from the area the alternator is located. so find one I can afford and replace that is my next project. oh how I feel the headaches building now!
and what about you?

Sounds like they are going with the Staples plan - eliminate as many full time positions as possible and replace them with part-time employees that don't require the same benefits and cost outlays. Then you increase your employee count and "Voila!", you're a job creator.
