so my step-father's car is stalling now. he brought it to a mechanic last week who had the car for 2 days and couldn't figure out the problem. during this time he was driving my Mom's Jeep. the tough part...he drives the car like its his own, and takes no consideration about other people (he runs around and does stuff like he would normally in his car, not considering the fact that my Mom now has no vehicle because he has it). after 2 days, my Mom was "Enough, get your car back." and the problem is still there. but my step-father still operates on his "me first" basis, figuring he can take my Mom's Jeep whenever he wants to.
well, until his sister called because she dropped the muffler in her car....he then goes to meet her, gives her his car to drive around while he gets her muffler fixed. actually not her car...when their father finally gave up driving (age 92 and has Parkinsons), they gave her his car to drive.
now, he plans on using my Mom's Jeep AGAIN until his car is fixed. asked him "Why don't you use your sister's car, since she's retired and doesn't work?" and he was "Nooo, because ..." and excused come (mind you, her "job" was to "take care of" and drive around a woman with severe disabilities....and she still does the job while also on Social Security....do I think she's getting paid under the table? yup. and she drives this woman's van everywhere.) and then come to find out (since she was not at her grandson's birthday party this past Sunday) that is sister is on a week long cruise with this woman. so the question becomes "Why didn't you borrow her car for the weekend then?"
his reply "I hadn't thought of that."
so now his car is being dropped off, and he plans on taking my Mom's Jeep again tonight until his car is fixed. hopefully my Mom finally tells him "After today, no more. If your car isn't fixed yet, either rent a car or borrow your father's/sister's car.....SINCE YOU PAID TO FIX HER MUFFLER AND SHE'S ON A CRUISE TAKING CARE OF THE WOMAN IN A JOB SHE SUPPOSEDLY RETIRED FROM LAST YEAR!"
yeesh....and get a new mechanic too!
