so my job today wanted me to come in around 8 PM after working an overnight shift (getting out around 7:30 AM or so). decided not to even return the call.
1st...Wednesday is the ONLY day off I have this week, period.
2nd....I would have to work with the full-time overnight cashier. he's the guy I trained but does very little. well, he does enjoy telling anyone who will listen I do no work. and he can't figure out why he is constantly refused when he tries to return to the overnight grocery job....might be because every crew chief knows him and how much of a cancer he is to work for. just didn't feel like working with him today.
and if the job says anything...hey, I'm not listed in the "Show for Dough" book (aka, willing to be called in to work). so if anyone says anything to me, it will be a "sorry, I was asleep and turned my phone off" response.
and in other news.....we had a guy come in 2 hours early to pain the front office. he does some final work (that was not done), gets the 2 gallon cans of paint....only one of the gallons has the label on top for the color requested. the other one....the person who got the can of paint walked in, saw the white paint on the shelf, and figured it was already tinted the color.....he did not realize you bring the can of paint to a worker there and say "here's what color I want." they even had the numbers written down for him on a piece of paper!
oh how I love my job some days.....
