well, last night, after about 2 to 2 1/2 hours of fighting and such, replaced the bathroom faucet in our house. I was looking at a Moen....but it was out of stock, so went with a Delta of similar price.
woke up this morning, checked and nothing is leaking. now I need to get a basket or something for some of the crap that is under the sink. when the family returns, might take some of the left over money (the budget was $190, I was given $80 to do this....spent the $80 on the faucet, spray to kill the flying ants, and landscape "caulk" to do some outside work) and get an organizer for under the sink. and maybe talk them into giving me some as "compensation" for the work. who knows on that front, though!
although a thanks to someone last night....now I know how much it would have cost for a plumber to do the work (as a wake up call to my step-father).
now all that's left to do is clean up the kitchen some, laundry, and mopping. should have it all done by Monday, right? including spraying the bathroom and kitchen floors with the disinfectant spray and letting it dry while I sleep!

I hate replacing faucets. It is not a big deal if you're installing one with a new counter, then it is so easy. trying to get behind the bowl in an existing install sucks.
