so my Mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas....I went to Musiciansfriend.com and ordered an A-Frame stand my bass guitar (its an acoustic bass...pretty light and nothing special). included was a free gift of a wall-hanging holder for a guitar. she has an old acoustic guitar that was sitting in the corner of the living room...its now up on the wall. figure it was free and easy to do....and most importantly, gets a funky looking guitar off the floor and on the wall like a display piece. should get a picture up of it sooner or later.
and in other news, just ordered a new phone. since I don't do much but text and talk on my phone, I don't need the smart phones or anything like that....so my goal is to buy phones that are free if possible. got the Pantech Link Mobile from BestBuy for free. after the phone arrives, I have to call a number to get it activated and then go to Best Buy and get everything transferred over from my old phone. then that phone, case, and charger will make its way to a donation bin (either the phones sent to troops overseas or given to battered women), while the car charger and USB cable will go to my younger sister (she has a Samsung, my current phone is a Samsung, and it will fit her phone).
now, I have to get ready for work, take a look (serious) at the jobs I've been seeing from CareerBuilder.com, and write a few cover letters. ideally I will meet my neighbor's father this weekend, and I want to include a nice cover letter with my resume for him to pass along....shall I address it "Dear Sir or Madam" or just "Dear Sir"? what do you think (I think initially it will be three male psychiatrists, but it could go from there).
and do I have a reader of this blog anyways?

You keep asking me that question. Haven't we pounded the lore into your head yet? Holidays are Christianized versions of Pagan celebrations. Old pagan customs refused to die out so the church "cleaned" them up a bit and added their own flavor, even conveniently changing some of the dates................... tell me you just do this to get me riled up.
