so my younger sister calls and leaves a message. a few weeks back, after having back issues, it was discovered that she has an extra vertebrae in her back. when she was younger, she was also checked quite a bit for scoliosis (same with me). well, she saw another doctor, who determined that she does not have scoliosis, but she does have a degenerative disorder that is affecting her lower back. so she gets physical therapy and such. the annoying part....she did not say what the damn disorder is. so I need to pry that information out of her so I can do oodles of research and find out what exactly is going on!

additionally, at work, one of the coordinators (think mid-level management) is about to feel what its like to get a new asshole torn wide open....by me. recently he went to a new store opening to work, and as typical when he comes back from these openings, he goes on a power trip. so far, he has told me I have violated the uniform policy by not tucking my shirt in (the policy states that the male work shirts have to be tucked in but the female shirts do not....it is enforced by telling the male employees to tuck in their shirts but not the female employees), to which I asked him "What do you refer to a policy that applies to one gender but not another as?" he told me it doesn't matter because its a private company and I signed a contract. hey hey hey dumb ass....New York State operates under the "At Will" employment....I don't have a contract. today ,he tells me that my "undershirt" (long sleeve shirt I wear under the short-sleeve work shirts) and pants are not regulation. the "undershirt" was a faded black/gray color, and I had cargo pants on. I was working maintenance, where I have to carry stuff around and such, since my job involves sweeping, throwing out garbage, and taking care of messes. aka....I'm not on register! and to top it all off, other people in other departments violate these policies, but not a word said to them.

and finally pisses me off about this coordinator...he walks around with the green handled utility cutters we have in our store....the thing is, by safety policy, only people in the grocery and overnight crew departments are allowed to use those cutters! all other departments (including ours) is to use a yellow cutter, as per the safety policy. so if push comes to shove and he sends me home for these violations, I'm going to tell him to join me, since he's violating safety policies on a consistent basis. and that doesn't include him bringing a knife to work as well.....a huge violation. think he might learn....fuck with me all you want, but cover your bases. and he does think he's a big tough guy....standing at 5 foot 2 inches with a congenital disorder that resulted in his joints being malformed. he has mobility and other such issues, including the fact that he might weight 160 lbs. or so, but at least 40 lbs. of that is titanium from his hip replacement surgeries. so in a fight...he would get his ass kicked, and he doesn't see that!

whatever

such is my life....here's hoping I get the job at RIT. 2 positions, open, from their interview schedule, 3 people interviewing. think my chances could be good. then I'm out of Wegmans! and when I have my exit interview, the fun starts. such feedback as "Your management staff isn't even reading the same book, much less on the same page," and "You do a good job teaching people what the job entails, but when it comes to management, you really lack teaching on how to be a good manager. Some of your management staff has learned that somehow, but many of them, especially the younger ones, are completely clueless on how to work with people as a manager. Just something to think about."

Age has nothing to do with the flu, little penguin.

That coordinator needs a good ass beating just for general principle.
