so about 2 hours until the phone interview. it should be interesting...things I'm going to push is my interest in learning ASL (since about 10% of the student population is deaf and/or hard of hearing), my flexibility (since I have worked in a variety of settings) and my ability to adapt. add to that five years experience for a position that might require 1 to 3 years.
I hope all that makes up for being out of the field of Higher Education since 2005. at least on the side of faculty/staff. the fact that I substitute teach should make up a little bit (it keeps me involved with education).
so we'll see. I'm also guessing there are not many great candidates applying for a position now. over the summer, yeah. but now, people either got hired or went in different directions.
what else? still got the odd pain in my abdomen. it comes and goes, left side, within an inch of my rib cage. who knows...maybe its because I have horrible eating habits (maybe a meal a day), or something is wrong. since the pain is not so intense that it keeps me awake or impairs anything, I'm not worried. its also not consistent, so that's a small comfort. for all I know, I pulled a muscle or something (still on the work-out video I copied from my neighbor...and it incorporates an ab workout).
figure if I get the job....I have a few goals:
1. see a doctor for the first time since Jan 2005
2. pay off credit cards in about a year
3. save money
4. learn basic conversational ASL, bass guitar
5. get my motorcycle license
think that's about it....what are you up to?
ADDENDUM:
phone interview done....have to wait a week to week and a half to find out. wish me luck....really wish they told me about the Health and Wellness initiatives early on, since I have experience with that. thankfully some of my answers to their questions did incorporate a holistic wellness approach.

I don't think we will ever pull Congress out of that Never Never Land they are living in... except by force.
Explosives?
