wow....10 replies on my last blog (and a friend request via the blog). nice....should ride more often.
still haven't gotten the video yet. in part, my schedule is so f*cked up that matching up times can be tough. plus, since my neighbor's girlfriend (okay, she's also my neighbor, they live together) works nights, when they have time together I like to leave them be. and I work nights mostly....so yeah, it can get tough.
plus my schedule for Friday through today was this...
Friday go into work at 11:30 PM
Saturday leave work at 8:00 AM, back into work at 6:00 PM
Sunday get out of work at 1:30 AM, deal with step-father's family at 1:00 PM, back into work at 11:30 PM
Monday out of work at 8:00 AM
I so need to get a job where I don't work such crappy shifts.
as for the riding, one thing I want to do is sit down and critically look at the footage. find out what I did good and areas to improve. for me, one area is definitely starting up. I never drove a standard vehicle before, so I'm still learning the clutch. I let it out really slowly....then let go at the end (hence the stalling). plus I think I get a little impatient (I want to get moving). so that is one area.
other thing is learning how to fall safely. while I do not intend to fall off the bike at all...still good to know. and know ways not to break something is ideal....since my health insurance sucks (thanks GOP for the brilliant idea of keeping health care a business....hope that check from the HMO's makes up for the people going bankrupt and that you never get crappy health insurance because you can't afford better......) and because I really don't want any broken bones.
so yeah, that's about it....time to get ready for some sleep. work tomorrow, off Wednesday, then 2 overnight shifts followed by a late night shift. annoying how the overnight cashier (full time one) talks to me all nice and such.....wonder if he realizes I know he talks crap about me behind my back. guess he hasn't learned....when you're social and nice to co-workers and willing to help out without a hassle, they tend to like you more and chat with you more than when you say nothing to them and won't do anything to help them out. but what do I know. then again, rumor is this married man is having an on again/off again affair with a married co-worker. let's see...if his wife finds out.....3 kids, at least 15 years of marriage, and she might qualify for disability.....yeah, he's screwed. and couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
