replacing another ceiling fan. this should be fun....I'm also installing a remote control for the fan. the bedroom its going in has no light (in our house, all the rooms have an outlet connected to a light switch for the lights), so the ceiling fan I bought has a light as well. now the argument...my mom wants the holder for the remote by her bed, I want to put it right where you walk into the room (figure you can take the remote off and put it wherever). her reasoning...."I want it by my bed so when I turn it off at night, I put it where its supposed to go."
my argument...."Why don't you put the holder so the remote is right there when you walk into the room, since it is also acting at the light for the room as well."
maybe put it where she wants and when she learns that she has to cross the room to get the remote, I'll go "Hey, you wanted it right there so you wouldn't lose it, instead of putting it where you first walk in," and walk away.
EDIT:
and my decision won....she changed her mind. ceiling fan is now up and running....go me!
