Hunter's Haiku Contest
Rules and Stuff
Introducing the Awesome Hunter's Haiku Contest, thrown by me, Hunter "Socks" Thompson.
The Rules
You Must Enter
You Must Write a Haiku (a 17 syllable unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively)
You Must Send your entry to me via email at huntersocks at gmail.com
You Must Include your Full Name, an Alias if wanted and your contact information.
All entries become the property of Hunter "Socks" Thompson and his parents, Lanna Lee Maheux-Quinn and Edmund Charles Davis-Quinn
Entries will be narrowed down by me (Hunter "Socks" Thompson) and the final judging will be done by a panel of five judges to be named at a later date.
The finalists will be posted on this page.
The Grand Prize winner will receive an Autographed picture of Hunter "Socks" Thompson, a limited edition Hunter "Socks" Thompson Tote Bag, and anything else we decide to throw in by the time the contest is over.
All entries must be submitted by October 4th, 2004. The winner will be announced on the Hunter "Socks" Thompson webpage and will be notified via email within seven days.
We reserve the right to change the rules on our whim, just because.
Except that judges will not be able to participate except for judging.
The Hints
Although the Haikus do not have to be cat related or Hunter related, both subjects would be more apt to be finalists in the contest.
Silly is good.
Funny is good.
Humor in your Haiku would be a good bet.
