I thought 1408 was an excellent picture and one of the scariest movies I have ever seen ...
My spoiler was relatively generic .. Samuel L. Jackson is great as is Cusack .. Very good direction, very scary film ....
It was almost too much for me and I felt I had to leave the theatre to catch my breath (and see light) ...
Excellent horror film ***1/2 (Would be **** if I was more into the genre) ...
I also saw Transformers and enjoyed it as a popcorn flick ... *** ... I thought Roger Ebert's review was spot on about the film ... There is such a thing as too much CGI and the last third of the movie (the final scene really got CGI-tastic) ...

The best thing about seeing Transformers was the awesome theatre I saw it in Skowhegan, Maine .. the Strand Theatre ..
The theater is only 2 years old (the 2 new screens .. the old one is 70) and actually has balconies, murals and inexpensive popcorn and tickets .. Great if in Central Maine ...
