In unemployed land again ... a scary and frightful place ...

6 month temp assignment ended on Thursday and had a very fun weekend at the sci-fi writers con .. Boskone ... Really enjoyed the gaming room and would recommend "Apples to Apples" highly.

Also had a chance to see Pan's Labryinth which was a unique, beautiful and often scary film ... very well done **** ...

Also still trying to figure out what movies I really loved last year for a top ten list ... I know I HATED Marie Antoinette (boring and slow) and "All the King's Men" (SLOWWWWEST movie I have seen in a while .. gives Oscar bait a bad name) ...

I am rooting for Scorsese to win Best Director for "The Departed" and think it would be great if "Little Miss Sunshine" won Best Picture ... I have seen three of the nominees for Best Picture and would prob. favor the Departed a little ****, Little Miss Sunshine ****, Babel *** (not as good as the sum of its parts) ...

Also really enjoyed Cars ****, Pan's Labryinth, and Children of Men **** ... Children of Men might be the best of that lot .. any other 2006 releases I have to see?
