Rented two movies this week and like them both ..
One more then I thought ... one met very high expectations ....
"Murderball" is a movie I wanted to watch for months ... I enjoyed it a lot ,.... Also has great special features ... good player commentary and a jackass episode ... Quite enjoyable.. Murderball looks like lots of fun too ****
The one that surprised me was a lesbian Chinese American movie my wife rented called "Saving Face" ... This was really really good ****1/4 ... Really well acted and sweet .. Its hard to believe this is a first feature by Alice Wu ...
Great acting by Joan Chen, Lynn Chen and Michelle Krushec .. Check it out!! .. Its funny and tearjearking (3 hankie movie for the wife) ... Really good!
Worked retail this weekend at it wasn't bad .. Although on Sunday I worked in the main store right underneath the esclator ... way too much going on visually in accessories .. and the plug covers (metal ones like a theatre) were right under my feet. It only took about 3 hours for my feet to hurt .. glad was only there for 5 hours ..

I saw a movie I wanted to see for a long time yesterday on AMC ... Solaris ...
And yes it was as slow as I heard it was ... It was interesting though and wonderfully shot even if I could easily play chess online while watching it ...
I am not sure I fully understand the movie or the ending .. but I liked it and was intrigued by it..
Is it odd to say I would enjoy talking about the movie more then recommending seeing it??
Solaris *** ... not one of Soderbergh's best but interesting.

prof. students *do* end up paying more, that's true. though most of them - lawyers, doctors, pharmacists - end up doing *quite* well. so it's really more like an investment in that sense...
