If someone told me I could quit my job and not feel bad about it, I would. In the last 10 years of my employment I've not once felt like a minion - until now. I really don't think I'm cut out for retail work. I don't like feeling as though my job could be taken away at any moment. I don't like becoming so dehydrated that instincts kick in and I feel as though I'd drink my own urine if it was the only liquid around. I don't like having to stand for so long that my feet hurt so much I literally can't stand on them anymore.
I've posted my resume on the government Job Bank site, workopolis, monster, and a few placement agency websites. Every night I apply to any new jobs that have been posted in hopes that I can find another job before Christmas. I've come to the end of my rope and honestly I'd rather get welfare's $300 than London Drugs's.
Keep your fingers crossed for me! +o)
In happier news, Mom's brought out all kinds of Christmassy things for us to decorate with. The living room looks fab, especially with the twirlling, fiber optic 3.5 foot tall tree Pretty, pretty, pretty! I'll take pics and post them tomorrow.
Also, as some of you may know, I'm quite the Value Village shopper. They had a 50% off sale last week and I scored so many brand new career-type tops it was rediculous. I even found a linen skirt with black embroidery that still had the price tag on it and guess what the original cost was!? $90! Guess what I bought the skirt for?! $10!!! I could've peed myself I was so excited
Anywho, a bag of ketchup chips is calling my name ,o)
