Well, it's not 12/12 anymore and things didn't go as planned, but I made the most of it anyway!
I turned 30 and I had already shared with you here how things were getting out of my control and going completely off plan. Well, they went even further! On December 10th I went for some routine tests and the doctor noticed something that wasn't right, even though I didn't feel anything different...
She asked me to see my doctor urgently and I went the next day at the first appointment, thinking that I would receive bad news but that I would take care of myself at home or after the celebrations, but it wasn't quite like that... on the 11th I was admitted with only the clothes on my back, without expecting it at all!
In any case, my family, friends and the hospital itself made my day special, unforgettable and memorable, I will have many stories to tell in the future!
The hospital allowed me to have flowers to decorate my party on the door of my room, they allowed my family to come celebrate with me (and they even let my grandmother bring the cake she makes every year for her grandchildren), they served me incredible food, they brought balloons with messages and they kept me assisted, safe and medicated so that I could have surgery the next day, so that I could enjoy my birthday as much as possible.
The next day, Friday the 13th, I had surgery and everything went well. I'm still resting and hospitalized, but stable and safe, trying to assimilate what this week has been like. Tomorrow will be 7 days here and only now have I got my computer and my head ready to think about work. My birthday happened offline and in a completely unusual way, but I'm grateful for that, after all, I wanted it to be unforgettable, and it certainly was!
Despite all the setbacks, my philosophy remains the same: savor and enjoy every moment!
With love, Kali!
