So weary...But a good kind of weary. I'm currently involved in building a wall. It's nice outdoor work in the wind and sun. And on the top of a hill no less, with a nice view.
I also got a lot of work done on my script tonight and booked a plane ticket. So things are coming together. Which for me is usually right before they fall apart.
I got to listen to everyone telling me hot hot it was in LA today and how I'm going to suffer from the heat when I get there. To those people I present to following airtight arguments:
1) I won't be there until next Monday. By then it could be 50 and raining in LA.
2) I lived in NC for six years. My blood thins out the moment the temp goes above 65.
3) It's a dry heat.
4) So what. I'm there for a day then I drive across the desert. So I'm gonna be hot sooner or later.
5) Who cares? At least I get a vacation.
It's tough to argue with that. Also to let everyone know I decided to hang onto my job at least for now. Things could change, but as long as I stay ready to go at a moments notice I figure no harm in sticking around.
