Sorry for the lateness in my responses and getting another journal entry posted. You know being drunk every night since last Tuesday will slow a person's thinking down somewhat. Not it's time for me to pick drunken ass off the ground and clamber back on the wagon for a spell. Or at least for a week or two.
Anyway I never planned to have my 30th birthday in a bar in Connecticut, but hey that's how it worked out, and I can't imagine that it could have been better. There was cake, and a blow up doll, and a drunken Karakoke redition of Matallica's cover of whiskey in the Jar, which descended into a hodgepodge of spoken word and James Hetfield imitaitons, and a dancing hamster doll, and ex cons, ex marines, and all sorts of strangeness. And that was just Saturday night.
Sunday Chris's family invited me over for Easter dinner with some other people, and of course we all proceeded to get drunk and do it all over again, and somehow during the festivities I got tackled by my friend Bailly and we rolled down a hill and I cracked three of his ribs. It's okay though as he said, " No worries. It's all good." Which is what he always says. But the doctor says he should be alright in a week or so.
Yesterday I staggered from my bed and went to work, and vowed myself at least a week of clean livin'. We'll see how long that lasts.
So this was the abridged version. I'm gonna post the pictures before I have to go to work, and then maybe I'll do an extended version later today of the events of this weekend.
