So I'm supposed to leave South Florida to go to Connecticut, via North Carolina with a possible trip down to Atlanta. That's good I guess.
I'm in the middle of deciding how long I'll stay up in CT, and if I should bag my plans on moving to LA to drift around for a month or two this summer. So many descions. I need a new car. My old truck is at 230k plus miles, and is gently falling apart in front of me. The front of the hood was about 70% painted last week, but after driving through some fierce rainstorms the last several days most of that paint has been blasted off. Which I guess adds to the trucks overall patina. I'd still take it out west though. It needs an oil change and I have to do some minor repairs but otherwise it's in decent mechanical shape for a vehicle that's gone to the West coast and back on three seperate occasions plus run up and down the east coast countless times. It's just that sometimes I find parts of the body on the ground next to it, and even I don't know how the muffler's attached when every place to attach it has rotted off. I have offers of cheap replacement vehicles but I feel that whatever replaces that truck has to be pretty special, and it has to be old enough that I can work on it. I'd like something in like a nice old peice of detroit rolling iron, mid to late sixties. Like a Ford Galaxie, a Chevelle, or a GTO. Mustangs are plentiful, but too small, especially when you live out of your car six months a year. I guess I'll know what I'm looking for when I find it.
Anway I want to wander about for a while, but I need to sort out this whole move to LA thing and I'd like to spend some time camping and driving around. I'm not sure where. Northern New England maybe get chased by a moose, or out west in the High Plains, maybe even go up to Montana for a while. Get mauled by bears. i got options.
