you know you need better friends when none of them remember your birthday.
today, i went to a shoot, then out to play pool with some so called friends. all of them forgot it was my birthday. then i checked my mailbox, nothing there either. i didnt even get a happy birthday email. mebbe i should consider being nicer to people. but in that case, am i being true to myself? would people respond to kindness out of responsibility? normally, i try to listen when someone wants to talk to me, but i make no overt efforts to encourage them to open up to me. i have on occasion invited someone to come over and have supper, but have yet to get a taker. perhaps i should more actively pursue more involved relationships.
to hell with that.

i'm sorry no one remembered, but did they even know?
i hate it when my friends keep their birthdays secret and then 'mention' them days later. grrrr.
*shakes fist*
Happy birthday sweetheart!
