EARTHQUAKE!!!!!!!
We just had a 5.8 earthquake here in SoCal. Not unusual for our area, but obviously not expected. Phones service went down for a bit. We were able to recieve calls from my dad and sister, but we could not call out and had no dial tone for about 10-20 minutes. Internet service was working perfect. My other sister's cell phone would not work either. Then all of a sudden the phones started to work again and all was well. We got a hold of almost everybody we needed to and everything is okay.
This is what happens when you try to sleep in late on a tuesday in beautiful southern California.
