So you may have noticed I changed my hair again. I took some fun pics with my phone before I went to the new look. I thought I'd post some before and after pictures to see which you like better I'll say right now I'm partial to the new red - it's mischeivious.

I'm growing my hair out so I can put it into really nice, long braids. So I think I'll be keeping this red color in it while it grows and gets some health restored to it. What do you guys think?

I wanted to say thank you to BitterAsHell for sending me this awesome gift! I love Marvin the Martian and this hat is so fun! Pretty much the best thing ever.



I've been saving up (or trying to) as much as I can. I really want to move out of north Iowa to an area with more opportunity involving the things I'm good at and like to do. I'm hoping to move in about a year, but we'll see how it goes. Life seems to have this horrible habit of creating detours. I'm pretty damned determined though.
I have to deal with a lot of bullshit where I live and I'm ready to get away from it. I'm sick of worrying about someone breaking into the house or having someone shoot at my dogs when they're playing in the yard. This environment has just started to seem toxic to me over the years. It's not always like that here, but certainly all too often.
I'd like to keep writing, improve my photography skills, and keep up on sewing. (About to order a new corset pattern to try out - looking forward to creating my own patterns at some point.) I'm not sure these things will ever equate to much for sustainable living, but I'm pretty sure creativity is just good for the soul.
Anyway, I think I'm going to continue shooting here and Zivity - see if I can't just save enough to settle elsewhere. Any support is always appreciate

The latest batch was Red Velvet cupcakes with pecan and cream cheese frosting - all from scratch!



I won't lie - my phone took a pretty deep plunge into a vat of batter during the course of those photos. It was unpleasant, but the Q-tip came to the rescue. Pretty sure my mic is a bit fucked now... I'm just so clumsy!
