I've been working on my backpiece and sleeve the last few weeks...I'm almost done now...if my scanner was working I'd post pictures...but it's not, as usual, so I'll just describe it...let me know what you guys think.
The backpiece is all going to be Japanese themes...the back of my neck is going to be a setting sun and the rays are going to be interchanging orange and yellow...when it's done, it should extend almost to the sides of my neck, and I don't want an outline on the ends of the rays...hopefully it'll work out how I want it. On the right side, there's going to be a traditional Japanese dragon, with a banner above and below that says "For you, my love, I would kill." Coheed lyrics, but no one needs to know that. The left side is going to be falling cherry blossoms in kind of random placement...below that, across the bottom of my back and in Asian style letters (but not Kanji, mind you) it's going to say "Sweet Sayonara"...more Coheed...shhh, don't tell anyone.
My left inner arm is going to be more cherry blossoms...in the middle it's going to say "Life is Temporary" in my handwriting...for some reason, this is my favorite part. I think I'm going to get this before I start on anything else.
There's going to be a geisha girl standing up on my right side, but instead of the traditional hair, I gave her Betty Page hair with a little flower in it...she's going to be more of a pinup geisha than a traditional one.
I'm excited about all this. It's given me something to think about other than all the shit that's been going on these last few weeks. Plus, I like having a plan. I've been getting random tattoos for so long that I like the thought of something that all goes together. And I think these will still be pretty when I'm older...they're really sentimental, not just the usual stuff you get on the spur of the moment. BUT-I still think Katie has the coolest tattoos. If I had half the guts she has, I'd go more along her route.
xoxo,
