I am working on this quilt to give as an X-mas present, but Bean thinks it is her new blanket.



She has also "helped" me in another recent sewing endeavor, seen here trying on a veil I was making for my 'dead bride' Halloween costume.

Halloween itself wasn't so much fun, to my surprise. I spent the weekend at some fun Halloween shows (and SGB!) but on Halloween night I hung out at the local bar chatting up a friend and watching people play pool, with "Crimson and Clover" repeating itself on the jukebox.


1. I was accepted to Portland State University as a transfer student, with a junior standing. Yessssssssss! I am a dork, and I totally miss the days of being a book junkie, reading and writing in the park until I realize the sun is going down and it is too dim to read. Gimme some homework!

2. My best friend and her hubby have postponed moving back down south for at least a year. I am ecstatic. I swear I don't know how I would survive without her. She is the only person I have ever met who understands me in that bizarre-almost-scary kind of way. And I love her fat cat. I like to call him Sir Knight McButterfat the Third Jr. Esquire...but his real name is Porkchop.

3. I have no clue how alll of the fam is going to get X-mas gifts from me this year. I hope they understand if I buy them all calendars or stationery sets, because I am broke with a capital B. Aw, who am I kidding, I am BROKE with all caps. I have listed a few books on amazon and I need to put some other stuff on ebay. I need money!!

4. This is the week of people giving away kittens and puppies. I swear, if one more person asks me if I want a baby animal, I am going to collapse into a sobbing heap of goo. I am the biggest softie, and I have resisted being a multi-pet owner for the past 6+ years. Bean is an only child.

5. Penpals are fabulous. I love them. LOVE!

6. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot! SGB was super fun. All of the gals were teeny tiny with teeny tiny little waists. The performances were fun to watch, and Tsu Shi Ma Mi Rae was
the cutest girl band I have ever seen.

Question: If you aren't living for what you believe in, what are you living for?
I was watching a documentary on Women's Right to Choose, and it ended with that question. It made me think (ow!) about myself and my goals, my passions, ambition and my dreams. Have you thought about it lately?
