Today is my mother's birthday. I gave her flowers (sunflowers and royal blue delphinians. Her kitchen is french country). Then I took her and my brother (who was on a day pass from the psych ward of the hospital) out for dinner. My twin is in thailand and sis was hunting for candy. Last year, she woke me up at 6 in the morning crying. She had cut off most of her hair. She told me to uninvite all my relatives who were supposed to come over that day. I refused. she yelled. Later that day I told my grandma it was imperative she come over in light of how upset my mother was. Everyone came over. We had cake. Sometimes when we get in fights she still brings it up. Secretly she has not forgiven me. I love my mother. I cannot stand how lonely she is. Now, when she talks of her birthday, there will only be flowers.
