Hey, everyone (to everyone)
I'll be off of the site for a while. The plasma screen on my laptop fried. I guess 6 years is a lot to ask from a best-buy house brand laptop. I'm sure the screen itself is fine, it's probably some piece of circuitry that went. But the computer itself is pretty beat up at this point. I can't really justify getting it repaired or putting a new screen in. Although, I think the screen itself might be okay, I think it's something else that went. But really, I mean, I don't know how much it would cost to really repair the damn thing versus just get a new one.
So, everyone knows where to text me at for the time being. Also, if anyone has one, I could really use a spare monitor and cable. I'll need to transfer the information off of my old computer when I get a new one, and I'll definitely need an external monitor to hook it up to. So if you have a spare one, please text me.
I'll periodically check on here when I can.
Until then, talk to you all later.
Oh, just another note. It's fairly rediculous but I can't get another laptop with the same specs, it seems, unless I am spending what I originally bought this computer for in 2001. It's a P4 2.4Ghz, 40GB hard drive unit (I have an external 300GB usb hard drive), 17" screen, USB, firewire, PCIM, 12 pin, infra-red, 54mpbs wireless. Yeah, it was $2500.
Why do I get the strange feeling that microsoft automatically put something in windows to fry my old laptop so I'll have to upgrade to something that uses Vista?

But I will admit, she is a hell of a lot prettier than I am. No argument there.
