Bad News -
I didn't get hired at the Apple Store, so I'm still stuck at crappy old Borders until I can find something else. Time to really start putting my production resume together and applying for jobs I think I'm way under qualified for.
Good News -
This is possibly one of the best pieces of good news I've had in ages. (And you all now know why I don't write in my journal more frequently.) I will be taking photos at a Goth fashion show called Emerging Illusions, here in the Bay Area. There will be four photographers at the event, three will be on the floor shooting the show from the audience and one will be backstage taking posed and candid shots. I get to be the one backstage. Huzzah!
It's not a paid gig, but the organizer of the event said she has been telling the designers, models and styists that if they want to use any of the photographers photos for portfolio work, they have to compensate us somehow. Even without that, I think it'll be a great way to touch base with some people about my documentary and hopefully get some more interviews and models lined up.
Anyhow, a link to the flyer:

All the people at the Apple store here on Maui are tools. Here's to you finding something better.

That topiary garden is amazing, and those arches are the least of it! It's in Zarcero, Costa Rica. Worth the visit.
