More art and more music.
I went to an exhibition on Friday.
It was the opening night of the first exhibition of a friend of mine. The exhibition was called 'Music shouldn't look like this' and I was really impressed with a lot of it: a wall of vinyl lps in particular (see my pics).
Another friend of mine was providing the music on the night by performing his first concert. Mark was singing and Richard was playing guitar. They roped me into loading the backing tracks into cubase for them. Does that mean I've played a gig? I suppose so, as I was on the stage (albeit tucked away at the back.)
The best thing about all this was that it was in a town called Leiden in Holland. So I got to meet lots of great Dutch people.
Tired, but content.

I went to another gig this week (another backroom of a bar thing).
This time they were a Canadian band called the Dears, recommended by someone I met in Holland last week.
The singer sounds an awful lot like Morrisey sometimes, and then an awful lot like Daman Albarn (from Blur) at other times. To tell you the truth, most of the music wasn't to my taste (a bit too squeaky clean), but I think they could be massive in 'serious music circles'... whatever that means.
Somehow I ended up at the aftershow party. Well, not that mysterious really: my friend was DJing there, so I had a big of a boogy.
All that on a school night: I was very bleary eyed the next day.
