I love hanging out with friends until the wee hours of the morning (okay, it was "only" 1 am, but this was a Monday night after all and it was all the way up in Oxford). Yes, I've lost quite a bit of what I thought my life would be, thanks to Jen. But in this transition I've gained a lot too, and this new life is good for me. Jen and I didn't have common friends to socialize with, and she didn't consider it important. To me, it is. New Girl, whomever she may be, is going to have to enjoy hanging out with my friends.
