This was a rough week for my family, we put Paris down on Monday night.
I held her until the very end. It was heart wrenching. I've had my dear Paris aka Poopies aka Pa-ree for 16 wonderful years. She was full of personality, love and of course a pinch of diva.
She loved to Suntan, even in the windows during winter. My lil sun worshiper
So everyone always joked she was "Parrot Paris" because she would stand on my shoulder or sit on there during house parties. So a friend made this poster of her and me. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
We always dressed up for Christmas.....
This was when I was in Photography School, so cough cough... ten years ago! Where has the time gone?
Cuddling Arya when she was a baby. I was so worried about Paris when I got pregnant because she never liked kids. Always showed her teeth and snapped any time they got near her. Arya changed her mind on kids, after having my own she opened up to pet pets from friends children.
This was me holding her when she was getting put down. I took Arya's baby blanket with us so when she's older I can explain that Arya was still there. She was too young at the time to be with the family to say goodbye but she was always with us.
All dogs go to heaven. Paris is up there with Quigley, RoRo and Pippin. I am a empty nest right now with no pups. I have had a dog in my life for the past 20 years.
Getting up these last few days without my usual routine of letting her outside, feeding her and snuggling her has left me feeling empty.
Goodbye my darling Paris. You will truly be missed.
xoxo
