I did a bunch of shoots in a high end hotel room this weekend. I was able to check in early so I figured take Arya for a nice lunch and pool time. Blake lent me his Fender for a prop with my clients because the room was a rock n roll themed room.
She always throws up Metal Hands! its hilarious! I just love this lil girl to bits. She really loves music so in a couple years Blake's gonna get her a guitar for Christmas and start teaching her. Before he became a plumber he was actually a guitar teacher. He plays everything though and I just love it. I have zero musical talent so I am glad Arya took a liking to it because that is something those two can bond over.
I wish you could freeze time and stay little forever. It's truly amazing watching her grow into this fun crazy personality. I see so much of myself in her and I just love it. She's confident, charming, full of love and really loves animals just like me.
Although.. I pulled the biggest Mom fail ever. We had a movie night and she pointed out A Dog's Way Home. I thought OH YES I remember this movie preview, reminded me of Homeward Bound or Milo and Otis. Sure lets watch it.
Well halfway through they show hunters killing a mom cougar, leaving a baby all alone in the wild. The dog takes the kitten under his wing. Well Arya went off the deep end bawling. Then I had to shut it off, calm her down for half an hour about how I am not going anywhere and I wont die any time soon.
Blake was like I TOLD YOU WE SHOULD OF WATCHED THIS FIRST! haha ugh ... parent fail...
I'm glad now I decided against taking her to the Lion King. This girls not afraid of scary things but if it comes down to someone dying its a man down situation.
