This year is the first year in almost 8 years I am not working Stampede. Usually I shoot media for Cowboys, Wild Horse and Flames Central but this year my Mother turns 60 and I am throwing her a huge surprise BBQ.
Ironically we have 4 birthdays in one week with my Family. My birthday lands July 2nd (so close to being a Canada Day Baby!) then my younger Sister is July 3rd (we were raised like twins trust me) then my Niece is July 8th and my mother is July 9th.
So I took this year off to party during the ten days because August I am booked every weekend with weddings so I figured if I did ten days of no sleep with the Stampede work (you seriously have to edit your sets that night and most nights I was up til 4am getting it back to the clubs then up for work at 9am).
Every other Stampede the lineup for me has been so freaking unreal and this years Coke State lineup was a joke!
I was going to book a mini holiday and hit the states next week to shop but low an behold Ruby Rose saved my Stampede.
So hopefully I can wheel and deal my camera into the show to snag some shots but if not expect a million vines and instagrams of the show hahhaha
