I was going to get this started this summer but by the power of ink gods my artist I booked is tattooing at the Calgary Comic Convention so my final day there I will be on a table for 8-10 hours starting my tribute to Marvel.
I've got four of my Fav Marvel Characters going on my leg.
First is Dr Doom. One of my fav villains. I can remember how excited I was when they launched Fantatic Four Movie. The actor portrayed his evil charm to perfection. Dr. Doom is who I am cosplaying in the Parade on Friday. Keep your eyes peeled as I will be walking with my good friend/model Rachel who is going to be my other fav villain Loki.
Of course we could not forget the Merc with the Mouth DEADPOOL!!!!!! I still am ready to cry that they are killing him off this year in Marvel Comics. Deadpool has survived so much. I relate to his obsession with chimichangas and smart ass remarks.
Rogue. She was one of my fav female characters of all time. Growing up reading Xmen she was a bad ass southerner with super human strength who could take on other mutants powers with her touch. She could eventually fly after the death of Miss Marvel gaining her powers forever. I loved her in the tv show also. I aspired to be as bad ass as her. I was upset that they made her out to be such a girl in the films. I always pictured her as some big busty beefcake who could toss villains around with ease.
The Dark Phoenix. This is another fav of mine. Jean Grey's dark side after the Phoenix Force took hold of her. She was my very first cosplay for my birthday almost ten years ago! In the films I cant express how excited I was when I saw the death of Jean Grey and the flash of the phoenix in the water. I seriously throat punched my friend next to me in the theater.
I gasped so loud that the people in front of me turned around with some pretty nasty looks. I turned to my friend and was like OMG they are bringing the phoenix to the movies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
