I'd kill to see this set bought! It's one of my favourites I've photographed to date. When Riini asked me if I wanted to shoot this theme I was over the moon. I am a huge geek and geek tribute sets have a way to tug on my heart strings.
I miss her so much already. She made the move to Vancouver to pursue her dreams. I know I have a friend for life with Riini.
I am going to try and make it to Vancouver in the fall after my wedding season slows down so I can visit friends and shoot.
If you are interested in shooting for SG just drop me a line and I can put you on my list <3
I did a couple in Edmonton that you should see in a few months on here! Can't wait for you to see more of my work on this site.
Figured Id give you an update on Roman. He's doing sooooo well! I got his paperwork in this week and it made me cry.
Roman (he was named Captain) was a street dog in California. He was picked up around 5 months old and put in the SPCA. He was not adopted and therefore on Doggy Death Row.
As I looked at his photo in the SPCA I could see worry and trouble on his little face. Tears streamed down my face as I read the words stray.
I could not fathom the thought that Roman went a long time with no one picking him out. They brought him to Calgary and he went two Saturday's at the Adopt-a-thon before I went and my little Paris picked him out.
When they lifted him out of the play pen and passed him to me I instantly fell in love. He showered me with a million kisses. The lady told me he only was like that with his foster Mom, let me go get her.
She told me the story of how they brought up 8 dogs on doggy death row from California and I knew then and there looking at him in the skull sweater that Roman was meant to be with us.
Paris and him were instant best friends.
Where Paris Goes ROMAN GOES! Its so freaking cute! We have these neighbour dogs that are shitzu's and I call them Paris Arch Nemesis because they always meet at one spot at the fence to bark at each other. Its funny but sometimes annoying. But the other day Roman was up stairs wresting with Tinkerbell and Paris asked to go outside.
She met them at the fence and Roman heard her and came flying down the stairs like a bat out of hell. He seriously jumped the steps in the yard to jump over Paris. He puffed out his chest and was like "Who do I have beat up for you?". It was hilarious that he is so protective of her.
I started him on a leash this week. He hates it. It was in his notes that he cant walk with a leash so that is our first task. He started in the yard after I put Paris on the leash and he watched her do it.
He wont go on concrete though. He seriously sits down and looks fearful. So I've been doing this one step at a time with him.
I am so proud of my furbaby. Its been two weeks and he knows his name and can sit already.
One weekend I plan on going to the Chihuahua rescue to photograph the love, the faces and the furbabies so I can blog and shed light on such a wonderful rescue group.
Much love,
Hazzard
