If you've been following me here or on instagram you may have noticed my life has been crazy busy lately! I've had a mad 3 weeks traveling on the east coast of Australia between Melbourne and Sydney and the surrounding area, I thought it was about time I posted a blog about it all.
It's been quite the adventure… and I have SOOOOO many photos :D
I went across to Melbourne in early December and made some friends in the few days I was here and was measured for some custom lingerie and did my first shoot with @danielklaas - but then on December 20 I left my home and came over for 3 weeks - heading home today.
Here's how it started:
Straight after landing in Melbourne, caught up with my friend, designed of Not Saved Lingerie, and hit the town - turns out it was his birthday and we spent the night out drinking with his friends (welcome to my holiday!) crazy catch ups with friends, a second shoot with @danielklaas followed a day later and time with family before heading out to the country to spend time with my dad.
Christmas Eve was stinking hot so we went and sat in the cascades and enjoyed some champagne in the cool water. Christmas Day was spent with my family, which was amazing, I don't get to do it very often!
Boxing Day I jumped on a plane and flew up to Sydney and met some of the amazing SG Australia people - @exkyu @terome @feefee @fatum @wednesdayblazesuicide and went to Hellfire for an entertaining and interesting night, also my first time meeting a lot of the SG people! I wandered Sydney the next day and then headed back to Melbourne.
In the following few days I enjoyed hanging out with my dad, meeting so many new people, catching up with old friends and generally running riot in the town. New Years Eve was awesome, ended up being fairly quiet but I did enjoy myself and have a good night.
New Years Day I flew to back to Sydney to start the next leg of my adventure!
I joined a friend on the Central Coast and stayed with them… we beached it up and then on the 2nd (my birthday!) they had organised a post christmas lunch with a group of girls I knew from online communities but had never met and we had a MASSIVE feast and played Cards Against Humanity and generally had a great birthday.
The next day they took me to the Hunter Valley where we enjoyed private wine tastings, awesome food and flavoured vodka tastings! A pretty awesome adventure. Then back to their house for 'left over's' which included prawns, oysters and champagne (definitely not complaining….)
Back to Sydney after that for a couple of days rest and try to have a look around (really it was raining too much) so I just ate and drank too much at some of the awesome restaurants there instead.
Then Shootfest! (but I'll post about that separately…)
All in all I have had an absolutely amazing time, I've barely slept, I've probably (definitely) eaten and drunk way more than I should, but I have never had so much fun and made so many friends in such a short amount of time. I seriously can't thank everyone enough for opening up their lives, homes and hearts to me and making me feel so awesome… the variety of people I have come across and the span of different backgrounds etc is amazing. I can't believe the journey I've had - this is the tiniest of snap shots and I've left so many people/events out cos otherwise I'd be here forever… but here's some of the photos!!
