Well I was going to post this yesterday but I ended up studying way too long and going to bed......so for anyone who knows me outside of this site they know that im a very calm, generally happy some what shy type of person, I NEVER have issues with people, so lets make this interesting by saying yesterday was the closest I have ever come to decking a person....let alone a teacher in the face I mean this in a literal sense.
To start the story off my boyfriend is a veteran and spent the past few years of his life in the navy, this year was his first year off. Well we are taking an American Gov class together and the teacher in this class is...well to say this nicely an ass hole. He is VERY one sided and egotistical and his idea of a debate is "who agrees with me if you don't ill prove you wrong because i have a PHD!"
Wel l he does say a lot of offensive things in class, some of which have annoyed me in the class but i just blow it off because im honestly not easily offended. Yesterday however he pushed things a little too far. At the end of class he decided to bring up an article he found on the internet about the high suicide rate in military veterans and how the writer believed it to be a very serious issue that deserved more attention. The article was sad and as he read it he would say snide remarks here or there which again were just annoying, but whatever we all know hes an ass. Well at the end of the article instead of asking "how do you feel ...or lets here some opinions on this issue" he said "well you know what I think about this, I don't care, I don't give a crap if veterans have a high suicide rate t was there choice to join so i don't give a crap...who agrees with me?" So that was the first thing he said that pissed me off, he ONLY asked who agreed with him and listened to what they had to say.....not only was what he said HORRIBLY disrespectful he wasnt finished with his rant...he went on to let class out by saying how military guys go ape shit when they come home because war fucks with there head......that was number two that pissed me off and the last thing he said was "so girls with boyfriends in the military you better send them that Dear John letter now because when the get home they are going to beat the crap out of you"
I was literally shaking i was so upset ....when i got up to leave i forgot my purse and i walked up to his desk as everyone was leaving and said "that was completely un called for" and he responded with "why?" kind of laughing at me because i was practically in tears and i said "because your an asshole" and walked out before he could open his mouth to debate.....well like i said i forgot my purse and i realized it when i was outside so my boyfriend went back up to get it and the teacher wouldnt let him take it even though he knew it was mine he said i had to come get it myself from his office for liability reasons which is bull shit because my boyfriend knew the name on the ID inside and the teacher KNEW it was mine.....well i go to his office with my boyfriend and he tries to tell my boyfriend to get out so he could close the door and talk to me and I said "no i want him here and i have nothing to say to you give me my purse" (the purse was sitting by his feet) so my boyfriend grabbed it really quick and the teacher tried to grab it back and grabbed my boyfriends sunglasses off his head, well all of my stuff fell on the floor and a teacher in the office next to us came in because she heard the loud voices, well that teacher let go of my purse SO fast when she came in it wasnt even funny......so needless to say we argued for a while because he was trying to demand that i respect him in his classroom and I told him i have no need or want to respect someone who has no compassion or respect for his students or others around him and again he went on to boast about his "PHD" and blah blah blah and get into an argument with my boyfriend who was IN the military about how the military works.......end of story i got my purse back he acted like a complete douche bag the whole time so im filing a complaint against him with the dean tomorrow.....that is my little rant for today, im sorry but it doesnt matter who you are in the world you still have one heart and one body just like everyone else and in the end your not worth more than the body standing next to you. someone can be very well educated and still be completely ignorant. That is exactly what he is, he thinks he is right about everything, and that he is "god" in his own sense he even said that the very first day of class " in this classroom i am god" ......sorry but im about to take a giant bite out of this assholes power trip. There are SO many students who want him fired and im sure there are plenty of people in the military who would not appreciate that comment.

Anyway's we are going to continue to work with the school, and im going to do some background research and pull up his past incidents with students then go from there, I stand by what said no human being, no matter who you are has any right to say something like this, especially a teacher.
