Im really liking these blog homework the Suicide Girl veterans have provided. And I hope you are all enjoying reading them. Well I mean this is the second blog homework I've had but still. Hahaha.😅
So, lemme tell you about my first tattoo...
See that little triangle/circle in the middle on my wrist? That was my very first tattoo. I got it on New Years Eve of 2010. I get a lot of people thinking its a symbol of illuminati but it really is not. Fans of Harry Potter obviously get it because it is Harry Potter based. Its the symbol of the Deathly Hallows. Why did I get it in the first place? Well first, why not? And second I wanted to get something of meaning to me. All my tattoos on my body have a meaning towards them but this one holds a lot more meaning. In the Harry Potter story, the Deathly Hallows relates to a story from Tales From the Beetle and Bard called The Story of the Three Brothers. In the story, the brothers are met by death and trick death from taking their souls. Death gives them three wishes, one for each brother. The Eldest gets the most powerful wand in the Wizarding world ever constructed, the middle brother receives the resurrection stone to revive his love who died too early of age, and the youngest, a cloak of invisibility. Before I get too detailed with the story, my tattoo correlates to a meaning of not only my love for the series but out of all the books released, the Deathly Hallows has always been my favorite book and the book that has brought me to tears more than anything. A lot of meaningful characters to me passed and the story of Lily and Severus is one of beauty and pain. Not only that, going back to the "Three Brothers" story, my sisters and I are like the three brothers in a way that correlates to the story. Not in a way that we seek power or lost love or invisibility (if it was even possible), but that we are three sisters forever bonded by blood.
Trying to explain my tattoos to others and friends and people I first meet is a great way to get to know me deeper. Like I said, all of my tattoos have a meaning towards them. Its not having to choose one and go to the artist like "OMG CAN YOU PLEASE TATTOO THIS SO THEN I CAN HATE IT LATER IN LIFE AND WONDER WHY I GOT IT?!" If that comment offends someone, I'm sorry but if you really think about it, there are people like that! Good thing cover ups exist (if you can).
I think that I will be doing blogs about my tattoos. Like the meanings and such. I do have 23 tattoos on my body so at least each one will be interesting to talk about. And now you know a little more about me and my first tattoo. When you watch Deathly Hallows or read it or think Harry Potter, hopefully you think of me and my story. Thanks for reading my post and stay tuned for the next one!
