I do not like this snow. Not one bit.
But, at least it allowed my roomate and I to do some filming in Prospect Park.
I'm doing a video for the Appleseed Cast song "Birds of Paradise," and one of the scene needs a rocky mountain time zone setting. A snowy Prospect Park, when you don't see the lamposts and roads, can look surprisingly remote.
And, in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, I offer a prayer to whomever is the Patron Saint of haphazard cinematography.
Please let me be reading the light meter right.
Please let the snow come out white and not gray.
Please let there be no light leaks into the camera.
Please let that last shot be on the roll, despite the fact the counter is reading 100.
Please don't let some wierd characteristic of an ancient Bolex surprise me and ruin everything.
Thank you.
And if there isn't a patron saint of this sort of thing, there should be.

that you, dear boy, have an intensely beautiful body
Sorry to say my exploits in Europe haven't really involved much of the fairer sex. Might have something to do with my two fairly codependent companions who are both pining for their girlfriends whenever they're gone. Oh well, plenty of good looking women in New York, I suppose.
