Note to self: Don't build things up to be cool when you have no idea what they're going to be like. Don't fantisize, don't create cool details that probably won't exist, don't get fired up when you could be waaaaay off.
Yesterday, I started my week long job as "wing man" at Fashion Week. Song Airlines is a sponser, so they have a lounge at the venue on Bryant Park. I was under the impression it was going to be a real "lounge" and I would just be chilling out and chatting with people.
Evidently, someone at Song is into Eurpoean design becuase the lounge is bright, has angular couches, and I stand behind a white desk, talking to people who have any questions. Not nearly as cool as I hadd hoped.
The only good part is I get to watch the shows on the enormous flat panel TVs they have in the "lounge." Plus, I get a shirt that says "Wing Man" in big letters across the front.
If this journal entry seems boring, it is becuase the job leaves me . . . unstimulated.
But maybe today will be much different, and they will have revamped the lounge, and I can just chill out Rack Pack style. Yeah! It's gonna be awesome!
