I know I said I'd call you tonight but I had a little mishap with my phone over the weekend and long story short I lost my entire contact list. So I have no actual means with which to call you. So I hope you get this message so that either A) You can call me so that I have your number in my phone again or B) That by leaving this message (at such an ungodly hour no less) I don't look a jerk.

I found some ukelele video a few weeks ago that I meant to show you when I saw you on, and I totally can't remember where I found it. It was pretty cool though.

Had a wicked good time last night, thanks again. I think that's one of those movies that reveals subtle little nuances over time that you didn't catch right away because the more I think about it, the more I liked it.

Going back a ways, I guess you were right after a fashion. That I would come out to an event and awkwardly not talk to you. You want an award or something?

In all seriousness though, I've never especially excelled in social situations. You can ask anyone. Over time I got better at it, going out with the same people week in, week out. Then even if new people entered the circle I versed enough to roll with it. But if I had to guess I'd say all these months of not going out have gotten me out of practice. Kind of lame to be going through in my 30's, but there it is.

I'll tell you what, if I see you at an event I will promise to talk to you. I won't promise that it will be the most scintillating conversation you've ever had or that it wouldn't totally awkward, but I'll do it all the same. If, that is, you promise me that you won't beat me up about my nervousness. I do enough of that on my own.

I really miss you. I wish we could hang out more often then once every three years. I do have friends moving to Seattle this fall, so maybe that'll get me out there. I know I keep saying it, but soon I hope.
