Man, oh, man.
I've been playing Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising non-stop for a week straight.
It's this strategy war-sim game for the Game Boy Advance. The whole point of the game is to use the armies of different nations to kick the crap out of an invading army bent on whole domination.
It's really fun, kinda addicting. My problem, though, is that I'm not a patient strategy gamer. I don't want to plan every move in advance and outwit opponents.
I just wanna blow shit up.
All my strategies consist of "get a ton of tanks, send them over there, and kick some ass."
So I lose A LOT.
The entire game has five nations with varying numbers of states. It's in the states that you fight, so every state is considered a level. You get to pick which state to go to, too, so there's no linear route.
After nearly a week of this game, the only nation I've fully liberated is the first, practice nation. I've only unlocked two others and beat a few of the states.
FUCK YOU, NINTENDO, FOR MAKING A FUN GAME THAT I SUCK AT!!!
