You guys!! I made it 100 days, well today is 101!! I'm so proud of myself I didn't think I'd last this long but it feels SO GOOD!! I haven't really been drinking at all really either, but thats a substance I can take or leave so it doesn't worry me. I'll be getting my drink on this Saturday night tho when I catch up with all my beautiful SGAustralia people in Sydney for our annual ball! I seriously can't fucking wait and keep squealing with delight when I think of all the people I get to huggle snuggle. I'm going up on Friday to get some new ink first, it's kind of tradition for me to get a new tattoo when I'm anywhere near a SG event😂 Can't wait to show you pictures. Of everything. On Saturday morning before the ball preparations I'm catching up with @pebblezink for an awesome painting portrait photo shoot, she's absolutely one of my favourite people on the planet so I can't wait to spend time with her and get messy. There will be lots of pictures of that too! Speaking of pictures would you like to see a preview of my upcoming set from @frankndame ??? It's called When You're Smiling and it's probably my best set ever you guys!
It comes out in one month 3 weeks, I love it so much, I hope you guys do too! Thanks for all of the love on my set Slippery When Wet 💦 You guys are so sweet I appriciate all of the ongoing love and support so much!
The best news of the last week is new music!! Growing up in Denver lots of my good friends played in the music scene and I was privlaged to see sooooo many good bands early on. Back then in the early 90s my friends played in a 10 piece funk band and used to support all sorts..Gwen when she was fronting No Doubt, Primus, Ween, Chilli Peppers, Weapon of Choice, Fishbone..heaps of good shit. I got to see Rage Against the Machine before their 1st album came out and Pearl Jam before 10 was recorded. Music has always been my life, this was all happening when I was 16 years old onwards. My talented friends dispersed over time and moved west to LA and became successful in their own right. One of my besties Kaveh Rastegar writes and plays with Sia, John Legend, Ligabue, Talay Riley, CeeLo..it goes on. I'm so proud of my friends because I watched them develop over time and work SO HARD to get where they are today. Another bestie Josh Lopez (Larry Leron) writes a lot of music with Nikka Costa, Macy Grey, Will.I.Am CeeLo and it goes on for him too. He and my friend Davey have this cool side project going on as well and released this new song: 'Girl' by the Upsiders 🎶 The biggest news from the whole week tho (it took awhile for me to get to this) is this same group of friends plus a few, from Colorado originally, all play in a band called the Ryhythm Roots Allstars. Over the last few years they have been recording music and working with DeLa Soul on their new album, their 1st one in 11 years!
Which is working against the issues of copyright and so they were making enough music so they could sample themselves on this new one. There's heaps out there about the project but here's a little info if you want to know more about it, We're Still Here (now) The awesome news is they're coming down to Australia in November and we get to catch up again, it's been 7 years so you can say I'm a little bit excited 🎶 it seems like a shameless plug but I am seriously just so proud of my friends and want to share the love with you all. Music is a huge passion of mine and I'm always up for anything new if you have any favourites you think I should check out and listen to! It's keeping me sane and positive during this drug-free time. Thanks for supporting me over the last 101 days you guys, I love this community so much @rambo @missy ❤️❤️❤️ I'll get posting some pictures from the new ink and ball weekend extravaganza soon!
