Here's a picture of Earth from Mars! It was taken by one of two NASA robots, both still operating on the Red Planet.
I plan to get back into Astronomy this winter. The higher elevation here should improve telescope viewing compared to my days back in Saskatoon. Back in the late 80's, I was the President of local chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.
I will retrain on the local Telescopes at the "Dark Site" near Calgary, so I can get my Key to the Observatory Here.
In a few months, just after I earn my own key, I can throw a little SG Astronomy Party Night out there and show you all the rest of the Universe!
Planets like Saturn and Jupiter will take your breath away, not to mention immense Star Clusters, colorful Nebulae, freaking huge Galaxies, and the craters, hills, and valleys of Luna!
Check the archives HERE for a look at what we can see with the 14 or 16 inch telescopes at the local Dark Site.

I was just thinking this weekend if the planetarium does the night sky show anymore and if anyone else would want to go. Now I have at least one answer.
I don't want to wait forever for them to call me! *whine whine whine*
