This song is amazing, and the lyrics/theme for this album is great. Basically it tells the story of a man who is banished from his town for not sharing the same religious beliefs as the townspeople. He returns a number of years later to reclaim his lost love, Melinda. Upon returning, he discovers Melinda has become a nun but she confesses that she does indeed still love him. The outcast awakens to find Melinda has been hung by the townspeople for her association with him. He goes on a bloody rampage, killing all of those responsible. He is captured and sentenced to death. As the noose is tightened, the hangman gives him a moment of reflection when the outcast feels a hand on his shoulder. He turns and sees Melinda waiting for him to join her in death.
The name of the album is Still Life, by Opeth. Such an amazing piece of music from beginning to end.
