I've felt a little bad that I haven't updated my journal in so long (not that anyone reads it), but it's still the truth. I'm working like a dog.

Right now, I'm working as a rigger/flyman for a world premiere musical by Christopher Durang, called Adrift in Macao. Decent gig, funny show, livable pay. Also doing day gigs at other theatres, etc.

I just found out the playwright will be stepping in for a sick actor - we'll rehearse at 1:30, and the show will go up one way or the other at 4:00. (Then I'm off to Villanova to take down some stuff from the Advanta Women's Tennis Tournament)

My friday -
5:30 am - alarm goes off.
6:00 am - get up
6:05 am - call cab (fucking transit strike)
6:30 am - cab arrives
7:00 am - start work on easy hotel gig
3:00 pm - finish setup on hotel gig.
3:01 pm - settle down at strip club behind hotel, killing time
5:00 pm - brushup rehearsal for show
6:30 pm - show call
8:00 pm - show
9:30 pm - show over
9:35 pm - back at strip club behind hotel
11:00 pm - start takedown at hotel gig
11:45 pm - takedown finished, waiting on truck
12:40 pm - truck arrives
1:00 am - truck loaded, take cab back to my neighborhood
1:10 am - grab drink at local dive bar, the Ministry of Information
2:00 am - collapse in bed.
