Sunday is the busiest day of the week for me. Why is it that I work when everyone else is relaxing? Funny, isn't it? Anyway, it's not too bad... I'm being particularly snobby and mocking the grammar and syntax of the papers I'm grading. It's one thing to be informal and use awkward ellipses in blogs and chats with your friends (like I often do), but I'd never do that in an academic paper. I suppose that some people just can't adjust to different levels of formality.
Anyway...I just finished Drinking Coffee Elsewhere by ZZ Packer. This was LONG overdue and I'm so glad that I finally read her collection of short stories. I am in complete awe of her writing -- the style is GREAT. If you haven't read anything by her and are looking for some contemporary stories, read her book. Woo!
Tonight, I'm going to attempt to teach the high school kids about formations and rotations in volleyball. Cross your fingers for me? Adults versus kids is next week...should be interesting.
