so i was off yesterday and i started to get bored after my chores were done so i decided to get me some new music. lately, i've just gone with pitchfork's recommended section for most of my new stuff as i am officially "out of the game" these days. i've dug most of what i've heard of late. records by biltzen trapper, spoon, okkervil river, and caribou have all passed the sniff test while others such as m.i.a. and deerhoof just don't do it for me. i also got some yo la tengo, one of those bands i've know of for what seems like forever but i just never got around to checking out until yesterday. i'm not feeling it. it's not bad by any means, just not real gripping either. i'd rather hear the jayhawks myself. anyway...
so if anyone that happens to stumble across this blog has any suggestions of things that i should check out let me know. if you feel like it that is.
i leave you with a picture of my cat. deal with it.

The Great Lake Swimmers are kind of nice. Quiet, delicate, but they resonate with me for some reason. Honestly, I've just been rotating between the Nuggets sets, the Fruit Bats, Calexico, South and Doves, among others. Nothing new there.
Hmmm, I'm not being very helpful, am I?
