So in my last post I was complaining about my dull surroundings. After I logged off I realized not doing anything about it wasn't going to improve the scenery around me. The next morning I packed up my car and set off on the road.
I called work while on the road and told them I was taking a vacation. The only reason they need me there is incase a computer breaks down or the servers crash. Most of my job can be done from my laptop. I know I'm probably ruining the whole spontaneous "I jumped in my car and just drove off" vibe by telling you I brought my laptop with me. I'm a computer addict. If they had a way to plug your brain into the computer I'd be first in line to get it. Anyway, eventhough I wasn't at work I couldn't ignore some jobs I needed to finish.
So there I was driving south on Rt. 53 not really knowing where I was gonna go when I drove past a sign that said something about Rt. 66. 53 just happens to be part of old Rt. 66. My destination was clear, it was time to head to California. I didn't follow 66 all the way there. That touristy crap got old quick. Its hard to appreciate some of the beautiful places out there when cheap t-shirts are being shoved in your face.
Anyway I won't bother with all the details of what happened between Illinois and California since I could fill a book and this post is getting long. I'm back now, happier, wiser, and more content with what I have.
"Till next time, hugs and kisses to all the beautiful women out there I'm outta here.
