`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
Alice didn't think that proved it at all; however, she went on` And how do you know that you're mad?'
`To begin with,' said the Cat, `a dog's not mad. You grant that?'
`I suppose so,' said Alice.
`Well, then,' the Cat went on, `you see, a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad.'
Anyone ever play American McGee's Alice? The level design in that game was so good. All those jumping puzzles could have been cut though. I hate jumping puzzles. The overall look of the game was fantastic though. Yeah, I'm a sucker for twisted kids stories. Alice in Wonderland is such an easy one to darken up. Its already on the edge as it is, just a little push and it gets downright creepy.
I was going to write something yesterday while I was at work, but then I got hit with a burst of creative energy. You should have seen me. I was making stuff like a madman. I will admit that not all of it was work related, but it felt so good to work on it anyway. I was kinda growly towards other workers yesterday though. I'd be hunched over my keyboard with my eyes an inch from the screen and someone would come in...
"Hey our printer is printing the same job over and over again. Can you come over and..."
"Grrrr!"
"k, I see you're busy. I'll come back another time."
*goes back to working on my computer and happily purring like a kitten*
I was looking over old pages of the redesign and I hate it now. I wonder if they'll mind if I go and change the whole thing again. It's not like its going to get finished before 2008 anyway.
So Friday I try to call some people to hang out with since I had the day off, and nobody answers their phone. *shrug* It happens. Then yesterday I try to call up some people to hang out with, and nobody answers their phone. Man, nobody ever answers the phone when I call! or replies to text messages!! or replies to voicemails!!! or replies to e-mails!!!! *grrr* Fine, I see how it is. I'm just going to go back to not talking to people. Ok ok, so its not everyone I know that is like that, but its enough.
Don't get me wrong, my Saturday wasn't bad. I'm perfectly capable of entertaining myself without anyone else around thankyouverymuch. Plus, I had alcohol to keep me company. A movie marathon of the evil dead trilogy and house of 1000 corpses started things off right. Then I ended the night with Labyrinth. (One of these things is not like the others, One of these things just doesn't belong, Can you tell which thing is not like the others, By the time I finish my song?)
Guess who I talked to yesterday! Danette, one of the lovely ladies I went to Ren Faire with last year. She informed me that she got 10 tickets for the Faire this year. Looks like I'm gonna be going more then once. Which is fine by me, I had a good time last year. Her and Mary are going to wear their big costume dresses too. They're waiting for the end of the season for that though. So they can hopefully get a weekend that isn't unbearably hot. Since those dresses aren't the most light and airy pieces of clothing.
So I woke up yesterday with a sore throat. I don't feel sick or anything, my throat just hurts. I just woke up and its like *PAIN*
"Blearg my tender throat meats!". Must be those damn gnomes performing unnecessary surgery on me during the night again.
Today I finally loaded Call of Duty 2 onto my computer. I've had this game since Christmas, but never got around to trying it. I have a million games waiting to get finished. I didn't want to start another one. I broke down and loaded it anyway, and I'm glad I did. This game is seriously intense. It takes place during ww2 and it throws you into the middle of some amazing battles. I caught myself a few times ducking in real life while playing. Turn up the volume and you really get caught up in the action. I had to take a break from it, my adrenaline levels were on overload, this game will wear you out.
Alrighty, I need to make some dinner. I'm getting hungry.
