Well, it's that time of year again. Time for all the various lineups for the annual music fests to pop up. I already covered Ozzfest. Now it's Lollapalooza and Warped tour's turn.
First let's cover Warped. Every year I usually go to Ozzfest or Warped, those all day outdoor concerts need some recovery time and they are usually too close together for me to feel up to going to both . I need some time for my sunburn to heal and all that. Anywho, Warped has been attracting some good bands the past few years, and the ticket prices are fantastic. This year I'm thinking Warped might beat out Ozzfest. Take a look at the lineup:

AFI, Against Me, Anti-Flag, Bullet for my Valentine, Buzzcocks, Every Time I Die, From Autumn to Ashes, The Germs, Helmet, Joan Jett, Rise Against. There are a bunch of good bands this year, and the tickets are usually in the $30 range. Good times.
Now for Lollapalooza. I'm not sure if I'll go to this or not. If I do, I'm going to pace myself. My feet seriously hurt that second day last year. Plus, I'm going to get a room in a nice hotel. One with room service and a bar. The tickets are $130 for a three day pass, so this will not be a cheap weekend by any stretch or the imagination. It will cost me a bunch of money. Not just the tickets, but the food and room and whatever else I decide to do besides hang out at lollapalooza. There are a few bands I wouldn't mind seeing though, and the whole fest had a fun vibe to it I kinda liked.

Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Flaming Lips, Queens of the Stone Age, Sonic Youth, Coheed and Combria, Eels, The Dresden Dolls, Nada Surf. I'd be willing to by a ticket just to see the dresden dolls since they are coming to Chicago on April 7th, and I have to work the next day . I'm not sure yet if I'll go to this. We'll see. I guess it all depends on who I know that's going. This is a party weekend, and its no fun with nobody to party with.
